600 Yard Shooting and Hi-Power Division Matches Division Director: Derek Stratelak (313) 407-4284, dstratelak@gmail.com The Hi-Power Division offers many different types of mid and long range shooting opportunities for members and the public to enjoy.  New for 2013 are improved pit conditions, new 400 and 500 yard firing points and an expanded shoot schedule.  We now shoot outdoors all year round, summer or winter, rain, snow or shine.  Whether you like Service or Match Rifle Matches, M1 Garand, Springfield or Vintage Military Rifles Matches, Tactical Sniper  Rifle Matches or the increasingly popular F-Class Slow Prone Matches we now offer it all.  Several of our matches are NRA or CMP registered and those matches will be conducted in accordance with NRA or CMP rules.  On match dates registration is in the club house beginning at 8 am and shooting starts at 9:30 am.   Pit duty is typically required and for new shooters coaching is available at most matches. Watch the news letter or contact the division director for more information on this year’s match schedule. BWSA Hi-Power League Come on out and join the club’s NRA registered Hi-Power League.  The league is shot on the 100 yard range on reduced targets, once a month, May to October.  The match is held on either Saturday or Sunday, your choice.  You can also shoot both days if you like.  Two relays will run each day, one at 10:00 am and the other at 12 pm.  Shooting ahead is allowed, but not for missed matches.  Teams will be formed by the Match Director after the June Match and all shooters scores will be handicapped to level the filed.  Prizes for 1 st , 2 nd  and 3rd place teams will be awarded after the season at the banquet.
